I would like you all to take a moment or two to think about this first sentence. An MP winning a leadership election and becoming leader of their party for the second time in a row. how would you expect them to celebrate?
You would expect them to go for a £100 dinner with the champagne on tap. Expenses paid for and no members of the public in the way, because to most MPs the public are simply people who vote for them and that is all they care about.
But Jeremy Corbyn is different, he truly cares about the people and he cares about the communities that are left behind.
And yesterday after winning his second leadership contest in a row, with yet another massive mandate, Jeremy Corbyn celebrated his win by having a meal and speaking to members of the public in a local community cafe (Neo community cafe).
He had brought along some home-made jam so he could make people sandwiches, he also made french pizza bread, so he could eat with his members in a place were all felt included.
The cafe Jeremy Corbyn attended gives out many food parcels every week to starving families in poverty, the cafe ( Birkenhead Project) gives out over 1,440 meals a week to starving children in the school holidays where many children have to go without meals because their parents don't have enough to put food on the table.
Jeremy Corbyn also donated to this cafe as the welfare state is failing to support it.
This just shows that Jeremy Corbyn is a man of the people for the people and he's not in it all for himself or the money. He finds everyone equally important.
Another reason why I'm proud to support this truly wonderful man.
