I contacted you all Friday re abuse on social media by Alastair Campbell but what about abuse via some Labour MPs, troll accounts, councillors and party activists?
I am appalled at some of the abuse but a realist. It is the 21st Century and times have moved one. Foul language is the norm for some and what they do in their own free time is up to them as long as they do not break the laws of the land.
But here is the issue.
Ordinary party members and supporters stressed out to high heaven, in desperation at the Labour Party coup and the valuable time, money and energy it is wasting, may be reacting angrily and out of character.
Yet they may be excluded from the party leadership election; suspended from the party for a hasty ill thought-out comment on social media.
But some Labour MPs have led by a terrible example on social media; and yes some have acted as an agent provocateur.
Yesterday I focussed my report re abuse on Alastair Campbell but today it is John and Ken Ferrett and a troll account called Miss politics; a troll account that is widely shared by some Labour MPs which leads me to conclude it is a high fliers troll account used to bait.
Perhaps Labour's "abuse query-master " has been set to catch certain words and people.
And perhaps people like John McTernan, Alastair Campbell, Ian Austin, John Woodcock, Tom Blenkinsop and a few others know how to avoid getting caught?
But whatever the truth is I find after 43 years plus voting Labour I am becoming ashamed of my party due to its biased and uneven witchhunt.
I may have only been a party member almost two years but I have spent my life promoting the party and voting Labour.
My question then is will you you suspend offending councillors, MPs, and activists or is the #LabourPurge2 simply a false flag to try fixing the leadership election?
