Local man Terry Ireland is a Corbyn supporter but has some questions that are important. He has sent the following to Mr Corbyn and we hope Jeremy will be able to answer:
as a Labour Party member who has already voted for you in the leadership contest I sincerely hope we win in a convincing way.
I am veteran of the Armed Services, army, having served in the Cold War. I now work as a volunteer for a local charity in Hull dealing with homeless Veterans, many of whom are suffering with PTSD.
I hear many harrowing stories and matters of concern and one that constantly recurs is the possible prosecution of those that served Northern Ireland.
I would like to hear your views on this as it seems very one sided that Amnesty has been granted to one side but not the other.
This was a conflict in which there were I am sure bad actions on both sides.
I know it was a political expediency to bring the agreement into force, but it does go against any concept of justice as I understand it.
Although this may seem a minor matter in the great scheme of things it is one that causes much distress to some of my fellow Veterans, who loyally served their country.
Thanks to Terry and we will publish any reply he receives
